We will work with you on an individual basis to create a plan that meets your specific needs. Initially, many parents and family members of the over 120 people Rockland Recovery supports were, too. Their children had aged out of Hampton Roads’ special education system, and were ready for adult services and support. In the final days of treatment, clients will meet with a case manager to establish an aftercare plan.

She has been living in the same duplex for two years, which is longer than she has lived anywhere in her life. Brittani and her boyfriend are working on their credit score so they can buy a house. She dropped out of school in 10th grade and became a mom at age 16. Unfortunately these are common realities for a young woman growing up in poverty.

What to Expect in Rehab Treatment at The Rockland Recovery

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. Our outpatient services are designed to meet the individual needs of adults with substance use and co-occurring disorders. For more than two decades, Loisann was employed by Upward Bound, a government program that helps poor and minority students pursue a college experience. She was a counselor to the teens who wanted to attend college, helping them identify loans, fill out applications, and proof their writing samples.

For more than 50 years, Rockland Recovery Foundation’s mission has been one of social justice for people with disabilities. Since our early days, this group of citizens has been at the bottom of the hierarchy of people who matter. People who have been segregated in institutions, used for eugenics experiments and shunned by the majority of society. Through our work, we are not only creating equality for people with disabilities, but we are also shining a light of hope for other marginalized people and communities.

Your first day will primarily consist of meeting the staff, being introduced to your fellow clients, and settling into your room. To ensure The Rockland Recovery is the best fit for you, we take all prospective clients through a pre-admissions process. This can take less than an hour or a few days depending on when the client is looking to check in.

Stephanie is no longer the vulnerable, frightened teen mom who applied to Rockland Recovery. Brittani was born into poverty and chaos — and her mother struggled with cancer and her father with kidney failure. Dropping out of school in 10th grade, Brittani was pregnant by age 15 .

You can volunteer at Loisann’s Rockland Recovery in the office, daycare, maintenance, or help with childcare in the evenings while our mothers have classes. Brittani named her baby girl Deavyne and set out to create a different life for her daughter than she had known growing up. For over 30 years, we have delivered specialized SUD treatment along with mental health services in our residential treatment program. We are licensed by the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and are a certified Drug Medi-Cal program. The Salvation Army Medford provides transitional living for those facing homelessness.
